growth despite difficult economic conditions. Currently employing over
120 staff at the Leeds City Centre HQ, there is now a need to appoint an
experienced individual to join the underwriting team.
This role involves managing a number of delegated authority schemes covering a wide range of commercial insurance products, primarily focused on the SME, package and manufacturing trades. You will be working closely with the sales and broking teams dealing with all referrals, providing accurate and efficient underwriting support to ensure that deals can be closed quickly and allowing the best possible chance of winning / renewing clients.
Ideally applicants will have SME commercial underwriting experience, be proactive, new business focused and be comfortable negotiating / trading with insurers where necessary, also assisting the sales and broking teams in ensuring the quality of information is to a high standard, accurate and well presented.
