Due to a tremendous period of growth despite the tough economic climate,
our client, a major global insurer with a superb reputation is keen to
appoint an additional senior underwriter to work from their Newcastle
office.
Primarily focusing on casualty business your time will be split between the office and out in the field building and securing quality relationships with the local broker market; ideally applicants will already have a good network of broker contacts and will also be able to work on established relationships. A good level of technical knowledge is preferred as our client is mainly focused on larger corporate risks (ACII or study towards would be beneficial) and the ability and desire to “trade”.
Applicants will have either a solid casualty underwriting background or alternatively strong commercial combined experience taking in casualty risks, client facing experience and be keen to join a forward thinking organisation. You will be smart, professional, new business oriented, keen to assist in the branch delivery of a profitable book of quality business.
