Senior Real Estate Trading Underwriter - London

Job description

Due to a few internal promotions and the company growing in a forward direction, they are seeking an experienced Real Estate Underwriter to be based in their City of London regional office.

Our client is a market leader within the sector where they have offices located throughout the UK including a Global presence. 

You will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, and also looking after an existing portfolio within the Real Estate team, and be one of the most senior underwriters within the region. The role will focus on you becoming an integral part of the team servicing an allocated panel of brokers and maximising conversion/retention rates and profitability within the company's product guidelines and to develop close, effective relationships with brokers. 

They are looking for a pro-active, commercially astute underwriter who can benefit from their success in the market and help them to continue to grow. You will be delivering the team trading results through effective large case underwriting and technical support to improve profitability. You will already be in a similar role, looking for a more ambitious, market leading company, to help you further your career and to support your continued professional development. 

You will also need to demonstrate that you have drive, self motivation and determination to achieve results, outstanding communication and interpersonal skills combined with a proven track record of relationship management and customer focus. In addition you will need to be a team player but also be able to work under your own initiative. 

ACII or progression towards this would be an advantage. 

Dependant on your experience, they are offering an attractive basic salary between £45k to £65k, an achievable bonus incentive, decent company pension contribution and other staff benefits.
