SME Account Executive - Leeds

This particular role would be ideal for someone with ambitions to become an account executive, but looking for a solid training ground rather than being thrown in at the deep end.

Initially the role will be predominately an internal “Desk Based Account Executive” position with a focus on the SME and the smaller commercial client market (premiums up to £5000). You will be involved in marketing, prospecting, business networking, initially making contact with potential new clients, providing quotations and essentially converting the prospects into new clients.

As your experience develops you will get to deal with larger clients, whilst simultaneously making progress towards CII qualifications, to further enhance your technical knowledge. As you deal with larger clients, you will have the opportunity to go out and meet with clients face to face (There will be an opportunity to shadow the more experienced account executives to build you client facing confidence).

The intention is that within 12 – 18 months you will have reached full account executive status and will be able to service existing clients as well as develop new ones.

Applicants will have a good working knowledge of most classes of commercial insurance, be hard working, committed and ambitious. You will need to be a good communicator and not afraid to “ask for the business”. We will look at applicants from a variety of insurance backgrounds including broking, sales and underwriting.
