Established in 2008, Cryer Baker is a specialist recruitment consultancy founded on delivering excellent service to both candidates and clients in the insurance sector. We operate throughout the whole of the UK and support roles at every level, from administration staff up to senior leadership.
MEET THE TEAM
Tim Cryer
Tim began his career working within the insurance industry for 2 major brokers in various sales, development and managerial roles. In 2001 Tim joined one of the UK's leading Insurance Recruitment Agencies to concentrate on the Broker and Insurer markets where he was quickly promoted to manager and was consistently one of their highest performing consultants.
Tim was head hunted by a global recruitment firm to head up their insurance division prior to making the decision to go it alone and founded Cryer Baker Recruitment in 2008.
Tim is responsible for operations, development and is a Director at Cryer Baker Recruitment who specialise in Insurance Jobs nationwide and is a professionally qualified recruitment professional.

Andy Baker
Andy has previously worked within the Insurance Industry for over 15 years. He initially started his career at one of the country’s leading insurer’s for nearly 10 years in the commercial and personal lines underwriting departments until he was then approached by an independent brokerage near Wakefield to move into a broking environment performing the role of account executive/broker dealing with commercial businesses. Following this he then went to work for one of the largest independent brokers within the UK today as corporate new business development broker from their Leeds operation.
In 2008, Andy was head hunted for a position at a global recruitment firm before deciding to set up Cryer Baker at the end of 2008.
Andy is a Director of the company and is responsible for all aspects of the business including operations and business development throughout the UK.
