Account Executive - Book to Inherit - South Yorkshire
Posted: 08 August 2025
Job description
A new and exciting Account Executive opportunity has arisen reporting into the company’s regional office based in South Yorkshire, where there is a sizable book of clients to inherit.
This brokerage is one of the most progressive intermediaries operating in the UK today where they are currently going through a growth plan and developing new regional hubs throughout England, and with further acquisitions planned in the near future. They are a very client focused organisation specialising in many bespoke insurance schemes and products, together with your run of the mill general insurance risks. There is currently a big push by the company for development this year and it is therefore a very good and exciting time to be joining this organisation.
Working closely with the MD and a dedicated broker team, you will inherit a book of clients with commission income between £250K to £500K, using their infrastructure and resources which are second to none. There wouldn’t be too much focus on generating new business and this would be more of a serving role.
The book consists with a variety of trades/sectors; however it would include the likes of Professional services, Engineering, Construction and Manufacturing.
This role will require frequent external client visits when necessary, and you will be given autonomy and freedom in managing your time effectively.
Ideally you will come from a strong sales/account executive background working previously in a commercial broker environment and it’s a must that you understand the different classes of commercial insurance and products. You will be self-motivated, confident, pro-active, and have a desire to succeed. Use of the Acturis system would be very beneficial too.
Excellent remuneration/package is rewarded in return with a base salary £52K to £70K (depending on experience), plus some excellent benefits, along with career support and a development programme so that you can progress within the organisation.
