Account Executive/ Branch Director Designate – East Yorkshire

Job description

This is a fantastic opportunity, ideally suited to an ambitious Account Executive, looking to push for a more senior leadership role. You will be joining a quality insurance brokerage, with a strong North and West Yorkshire presence, keen develop one of their smaller branches located in the East Yorkshire area.

In this role, you will be inheriting an existing client portfolio worth circa £150 brokerage income, establishing relationships with your client base and with a view to achieving account growth. The book is made up of an interesting mix of general commercial clients, mainly mid-market risks. 

As your portfolio grows, the intention is to develop the branch by adding further Account Executives to your team. Initially you will be provided with full broker and admin support from HQ in Leeds, however, as your branch grows, there will be an opportunity to add accounts handlers, brokers and admin support to your team.

This business is headed up by a highly respected Regional MD, well known for prioritizing work life balance and for providing an enjoyable, rewarding and flexible working environment (no culture of overtime). This business is very much in growth mode at present and is able to provide excellent long term career progression and financial reward.

Ideal applicants will currently be in a client facing Account Executive role with a good all round knowledge of most classes of commercial insurance. You will have a track record of retaining clients and be confident in being able to grow your client portfolio. ACII or progress towards would be beneficial and ongoing studies will be fully supported.
