This is a fantastic brand new opportunity, ideally suited to a commercial account handler looking for a slightly different role which incorporates both broking and underwriting. Our client is a highly regarded specialist insurance brokerage and leader it’s field, consistently achieving excellent growth in a dynamic and enjoyable environment.

Day to day, you will be managing your own smaller clients, which are “desk top clients “with annual premiums spends up to circa £15k per annum, this will involve regular client contact, making amendments to existing polices and dealing with renewals. You will also be providing some support to the Account Executives on larger cases.

As well as broking risks to open market, you will be trained to use their delegated authority scheme underwriting facility and will be analysing and pricing risks, making your own underwriting decisions and occasionally referring to the insurer where necessary.

Clients are all commercial insurance risks, mainly commercial package and commercial combined as well as professional risks such as PI, D&O, Cyber and some fleet risks. Premiums could range from £2k to £100k +.

This role would ideally suit a commercial broker / account handler looking for an interesting and varied role. You will need to be a good communicator with a decent all round knowledge of commercial insurances, organised, a team player and quite process oriented.

This role comes with an excellent basic salary up to circa £40k + a comprehensive benefits package, full support towards CII studies, flexible hybrid working and genuine career progression.
