Broker Claims Handler (Property Bias) – West Yorkshire / Hybrid
Posted: 09 April 2026
Job description
Would you like to be part of one the UK’s most highly respected independent insurance brokerages; well-known for having a very low staff turnover and an enviable level of client retention. This role has been created due to growth and provides the opportunity to join a fantastic team, with a bias towards property claims, however, a good all-round insurance knowledge would be beneficial.
This role comes with an excellent basic salary of up to circa £40k (possibly a little more, dependent on experience) and with comprehensive benefits package including 28 days holiday, significantly above average pension contributions, private medical insurance, annual bonus and full support towards CII studies. Our client is committed to work life balance and is regularly involved in local community and charity projects.
The team is incredibly client focused, working to hard to ensure that the client has the best possible experience and endeavouring to reach the best possible conclusion in a swift and highly professional manner. You will be comfortable taking ownership of claims, from notification through to settlement, keeping the client informed along the away and not afraid to challenge insurers where necessary.
Ideal applicants will have at least 3 + years claims experience, ideally gained within a broking environment, however, we are more than happy to receive applications from those with commercial property claims experience gained in an insurer or adjusting environment, and who can quickly adapt to focus on client representation and learn new technical disciplines. Previous use of Acturis would be preferred.
Having worked with this client on many occasions, the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. This is a highly respected and fiercely independent business, well known for providing an enjoyable and professional working environment with job security and genuine career progression.
