Excellent opportunity to join a longstanding and highly regarded independent insurance brokerage in the Darlington area. Our client has been through some positive changes recently and is keen to push on by adding at least one, maybe two new commercial brokers / account handlers to the team.

Working closely with the branch MD, you will have a dual role, partly looking after your own portfolio of commercial clients, all of a size, which mainly requires desk based support, as well as assisting the accounts executives on larger, more technically complex cases. 

You will be involved in new business broking, marketing risks, compiling submissions, making amendments to existing clients, negotiating renewal terms etc. All of your work will be commercial insurance related and could be anything from smaller SME policies to larger commercial combined with premium spends into the £100k’s.

Ideal applicants will have at least 2 + years commercial insurance experience, preferably gained within a broking environment. This is an excellent team environment in a nice location with plenty of parking. 

There is plenty of career progression available with this ambitious business, whether that be into a more senior or management role further down the line or perhaps you may wish to work towards becoming an Account Executive.
