Commercial Mid-Market Account Handler – York / Hybrid

Job description

This is an excellent opportunity to join a long-established commercial insurance brokerage based in the East York area, close to bus routes and with plenty of parking available. The Branch MD is well known for being supportive and committed to work life balance and is able to offer flexible hybrid working.

In this role you will be joining a small friendly team, dealing mainly with mid-market insurance clients; supporting the Account Executives, mainly clients with annual premium spends from £10k up to £100k, some larger, dealing predominately with existing clients, although there will be some new business enquires to work on from time to time.

Ideal applicants will have at least 2 years commercial insurance broking / account handling experience, with a good all-round knowledge of most classes of commercial insurance. You will be very client focused with a natural inclination to provide an exceptional level of service. Previous use of Acturis would be beneficial and additional system training can be provided. Applicants need to be professional, team oriented and with good communication skills and attention to detail.

This business is very much in growth mode, so would appeal to those looking for longer term career opportunities, however, we are more than happy to hear those applicants looking for a steady and enjoyable job, but who are perhaps not looking at long-term career right now.
