Commercial SME Account Handler – York / Hybrid

Job description

This is an excellent opportunity to join a long-established commercial insurance brokerage based in the East York area, close to bus routes and with plenty of parking available. The Branch MD is well known for being supportive and committed to work life balance and is able to offer flexible hybrid working.

In this role you will be joining a small friendly team, dealing mainly with SME insurance clients; you will be allocated your own portfolio, mainly clients with premium spends up to circa £10k per annum, mainly dealing with existing clients, although there will be some new business enquires to work on from time to time.

Ideal applicants will have at least 2 years commercial insurance experience, not necessarily broking; you may have worked in underwriting or perhaps worked in a commercial insurance call centre environment and wish to switch to broking.

Previous use of Acturis system would be beneficial but is not essential as full system training can be provided. 

This business is very much in growth mode, so would appeal to those looking for longer term career opportunities, however, we are more than happy to hear those applicants looking for a steady and enjoyable job, but who are perhaps not looking at long-term career right now.
