Desk Based Account Executive – Leeds / Hybrid

This is a fantastic opportunity, ideally suited to an SME broker / account handler with ambitions to work towards being an account executive. This role would suit applicants with 2 + years SME experience, perhaps working for one of the larger national brokers, but keen to join a smaller business, which is less “call centre” and where you can be more than just a number.

You will be part of an enjoyable and dynamic team, headed up by a fantastic divisional director, who is decent and supportive and more than happy to provide you with all of the training you need and committed to creating an enjoyable and relaxed working environment with flexibility and good work life balance.

On joining, you will inherit an existing and loyal client portfolio from a successful individual who has recently earned a promotion. This is a book of SME clients worth circa £100k income, the vast majority of which can be managed via telephone and Teams, however, you will be able to make client visits, where you deem it to be necessary. The portfolio is made up of clients from a wide variety of industry sectors with annual premium spends up to circa £10k.

As well as managing your clients, there will be plenty of opportunity to win some new business; all leads will be provided and are of a high quality (conversion currently sits between 30% - 40%). There is a very generous commission structure in place which will enable you to generate a greatly enhanced personal income.

Long-term, the business is keen to promote from within, so it is highly probably that you will be able to work your way into a more senior role and begin to deal with larger clients over the next few years, once you have established yourself.

Previous use of Acturis system and progress towards CII qualifications would be beneficial; Ongoing professional studies will be fully supported and encouraged.

This role comes with a Basic salary, dependent on experience from £30k - £45k + bonus + benefits and with flexible hybrid working.
