Job description

Our client is an incredibly well-respected independent insurance brokerage, with their HQ in West Yorkshire and with numerous branches around the UK. They have built their success around providing an exceptional level of service to their loyal client base and boast an enviable level of client retention. They are very community oriented and involve themselves in many local charities and community projects.

This is a brand-new role, which has been created due to the growth of the business and provides the opportunity to lead the “Insurer banking reconciliation and payment team” on a day-to-day basis, ensuring that Insurer payments are efficient, accurate and timely.

Ideal applicants will have previous experience leading a team and be particularly strong in developing the automation and robotic side of the processes to improve efficiency and accuracy. Key responsibilities will include developing relationships between team members and insurers, directing effective communications between accounting and broking teams, ensuring insurer accounts are regularly reconciled.

You will be leading the bank reconciliation process, ensuring receipts are processed and allocated to the correct client accounts using the Acturis system, communicating with colleagues to chase debts and assist colleagues in generating client statements and collecting outstanding monies.

It is important that you have previous leadership experience, are a strong communicator with attention to detail and a good understanding of using and embracing IT / system processes and automation.

This role comes with a great salary (dependent on experience) and a full and comprehensive benefits package, including generous pension contribution, PMI and above average holiday entitlement. You will also be able to work on a hybrid basis, currently 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.
