Job description
An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a very reputable MGA who are seeking a High Net Worth Existing Business Underwriter.
Ideally you will be based and report into London, however they could consider someone working remotely anywhere in the UK.
In terms of previous experience, you will need to have come from a HNW / non-standard household underwriting background, or, possible someone with broking experience within this space.
This company has been successfully trading for many years, and there is real scope to make a real impact within as the team grows, where you will work closely with the underwriting team and Regional Director.
Due to the company going through a significant growth and development programme this is an ideal time to be joining the business where you’ll work the broker markets throughout the UK.
Hybrid working would also be supported with 3 says in the office and 2 days at home. However if you are based in the regions you would be fully remote with occasional visits to London when required.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide brokers with their Renewal Invites for the company within SLAs.
- Action Mid Term Adjustments and Cancellations within SLAs.
- Work through any renewals queries within SLAs.
- Maximise retention with a pragmatic approach to broker requests.
- Act as a referral point for underwriters with lesser authority.
- Answer phone calls to broker in a professional and friendly manner.
- Operate within the parameters of your Underwriting License.
- Make use of the Underwriting guide in addition to senior colleagues for a collaborative approach to underwriting.
- Take initiative, within the context of the role, to improve work processes and promote overall corporate goals

Basic salary dependant on experience £35K to £50k, bonus incentive, and excellent staff benefits come as standard should you be successfully appointed.
