This is a fantastic opportunity with a dynamic and highly successful commercial insurance brokerage looking to appoint an Account Executive in the London area. This is a dual role, building relationships and retaining your own clients as well as looking to grow your book of business.
Working closely with a vastly experienced Sales Director as your mentor, you will be creative and proactive in finding new leads as well as being assisted by the internal lead generation team and provided with any new leads within your geographical area, which come into the business via various “introducers” which have been set up.
This role comes with a lot of autonomy; you will be home based, in total control of your own diary and you will be provided with a full “home-office” set up and a generous car allowance.
You will be dealing with an interesting mix of commercial insurance risks with a slight bias towards motor trade combined; you will have access to all markets in which to place new cases as well as having a dedicated and exclusive motor trade combined scheme, with which you will have underwriting authority.
In terms of administrative support, you will be assisted by a team of brokers, account handlers, claims handlers and DA underwriters at Head Office, who will be dedicated to taking the bulk of the administrative work away from you, allowing you to focus on client work.
This role could appeal to two types of insurance professional. Perhaps you’re currently a broker, handler or underwriter with a good general commercial insurance background, keen to move into a client facing AE role, and looking for the right opportunity. Or, perhaps, you’re currently in a similar AE role but keen to find a new home or a role with greater autonomy. Whichever you are, we would be happy to hear from you.
This role comes with an excellent basic salary, dependent on experience, and provides the opportunity to move onto a more lucrative commission only structure, once you client portfolio has reached a suitable value. You will also be provided with full benefits, home office set up, generous car allowance, expenses etc.
