Job description
This is an interesting dual role with a mix of both insurance broking / account handling and delegated authority underwriting. You will be joining an excellent team, supporting a national network of Account Executives and running numerous commercial insurance schemes, where you will have authority to make underwriting decisions.
This role would suit an individual with previous commercial account handling / broking experience looking for an interesting role, perhaps wanting to find an opportunity where you can be trained to do DA underwriting.
You will be working under the guidance of the broking team leader and the head of underwriting and will receive both on and off the job training to help you to achieve the relevant underwriting licence. They have a longstanding team of supportive and friendly staff, creating a professional and enjoyable working environment.
You will be focusing on commercial insurance risks, mainly larger SME through to mid-market, commercial combined and fleet policies, annual premium spends mainly from £5k to £50k, some large cases paying into the £100k’s. You will need to have strong communication skills, be well organised and with previous use of Acturis system.
This role comes with a salary of up to circa £35K + full benefits including an annual bonus, hybrid working and support towards CII studies.
