This is a new and exciting opportunity to work for leading Global Insurance company with offices throughout the UK.

Our insurer client is seeking an experienced Commercial P&C Trading Underwriter to work from their city centre offices in Leeds, and to join them to be aligned to a portfolio of brokers/customers to proactively develop and profitably grow their commercial book of business within the company.

As a Property & Liability Underwriter you will help drive and transform how they partner their broker portfolios, through responsive, flexible, and collaborative relationships. With a strong balance of technical and trading capability, you'll be empowered to make decisions and deliver profitable growth, across new business within the key markets. Relationship management is key as you will Influence key contacts in the marketplace through business development and customer engagement.

Skills and experience they are looking for are:

• Experience within Property and Liability underwriting is essential
• Excellent communication, listening, time management and negotiating skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a large complex organisation
• ACII qualifications or working towards
• Good knowledge of the FCA rules and other relevant regulation and legislation
• Ability to analyse risks, communicate and present effectively to brokers and/or customers.
