We are pleased to be working with a dynamic commercial insurance brokerage, who are currently looking to strengthen their Leeds City Centre based team. This is a “placement” oriented role, ideally suited to a technically competent insurance professional with a good all-round commercial insurance knowledge and who enjoys the cut and thrust of placing new business across all sectors from SME to mid-market and larger.

In this role you will be managing key relationships and marketing a wide variety of risks to composite insurers and specialist markets including Lloyds of London. It is important that you enjoy negotiating and have a keen eye for securing the best deals.

Your main responsibilities include proactively marketing and placing risks, building and developing relationships with key partners, trading effectively with insurers across a broad range of commercial classes including SME, Commercial and Mid Corporate risks, supporting colleagues on complex or unusual cases.

Ideal candidates will be technically competent commercial brokers / handlers, with experience placing medium to large risks into the open market, a strong negotiator keen to develop insurer relationships   and with previous use of Acturis system.

This role comes with a salary of up to circa £50k + a comprehensive benefits package and genuine carer development with an ambitious and growing business; this could be moving into a management position or perhaps you’d rather go do the Business Development Manager route.
