This role sits within their in-house underwriting team and has been created due to growth. This is a small and growing team based at their Head Office in Yorkshire and providing underwriting support to the broking and account executive teams of 15 + offices across the UK, dealing exclusively with property risks, both private and commercial across all sectors from household to HNW to large commercial and industrial risks.

Applicants will have at least 2 + years of property underwriting experience, either working for an insurer or MGA or have been involved in a DA underwriting scheme within an insurance broking environment. You will be well organised, a strong communicator able to make dynamic and responsible underwriting decisions and with a high level of attention to detail.

This role would be very well suited to underwriters who enjoy the role, but who don’t want to be targeted. This role is about calculating premiums and applying discounts responsibly and with the greater goal of running and quality and profitable DA scheme.

This role comes with a salary of up to circa £35k (dependent on experience) + a comprehensive benefits package which includes an excellent holiday entitlement, above average pension contributions, private medical and a great annual bonus + other benefits. They can provide hybrid working, currently 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.
