Posted: 13 March 2025
Job description
Are you looking to join a highly successful and fiercely independent insurance brokerage, able to offer a flexible environment with hybrid working and with a focus on work life balance? Our client is growing at an impressive rate, opening lots of new roles and providing genuine long-term career progression.
This is a dual role, partly providing commercial broking support to your allocated Account Executive(s), as well as acting as a relationship manager, assisting your AE’s in developing their client portfolio, ensuring that they are up to date on markets, products, insurer relationships, exclusive schemes etc.
Ideal applicants will have previous commercial broking / account handling experience with a good all-round knowledge of most classes of commercial insurance; Progress toward CII qualification would be desirable and will be fully supported. Our client is a chartered brokerage and therefore very supportive of professional qualifications.
You will be dealing with commercial clients with premium spends from circa £10k to £100k +, some relatively straight forward, others may be technically complex. You will be involved with new business submissions, making mid-term amendments and marketing and negotiating renewal terms.
In terms of relationship management, you will be able to meet up with your allocated AE’s (nationally based) on a monthly of bi-monthly basis to discuss the account and to keep them up to date with all relevant and required information. This is an element of the role that gets you out of the office now and again (Broker / AE meetings are often over a coffee or lunch).
Previous use of Acturis system would be preferred, although not a prerequisite as full system training can be provided.
This role is currently 3 days in the office and 2 days from home; the premises is a modern and appealing office with plenty of parking. Salary is flexible from circa £35k to £45k depending on experience + full benefits.
