Job description
This is an excellent opportunity to inherit a “safe” client portfolio, due to an impending retirement.
This is an interesting mix of mid-market cases across all commercial sectors. The portfolio also contains a large £500k + premium well-known “brands” with global connections and requires an individual with a good all-round knowledge of most classes of commercial insurance and a proven track record in managing client relationships.
Based from their conveniently located Leeds office and working on a hybrid basis, you will be joining an excellent team, headed up by a very popular and supportive Divisional Director and with the back-office functions being picked up by the account handlers, brokers, admin support staff and the claims team.
On joining the business, you will spend a small period of time working with current account executive to ensure that there is a smooth handover of clients, before taking over the full portfolio independently.
The role is primarily focused on managing and developing existing client relationships; there will be a small element of development work, however, not anything significant or targeted.
ACII or progress towards would be desirable, but not essential. Being a chartered brokerage, our client is very supportive of professional qualifications.
This role comes with an excellent basic salary up to circa £75k per annum + bonus and full benefits package and could be suited to either as experienced account executive or a senior broker / handler who feels ready to make a step up into a client facing AE role.
