Senior Corporate Broker / Handler - West Yorkshire / Hybrid
Posted: 17 August 2026
Job description
Our client is a highly respected commercial insurance brokerage based in the West Yorkshire area and able to provide flexible hybrid working. The office location is very appealing with plenty of parking and green spaces within a short walking distance. The Branch Director is well known for being incredibly supportive and is committed to creating an environment that is professional, enjoyable with genuine career development.
In this role you will be supporting the Branch MD and Account Directors in managing a wide range of commercial clients, some larger complex cases, all of which have been with business for many years due the exceptional level of service provided.
You will primarily be working with existing clients, making amendments to policies, marketing and negotiating renewals, negotiating with insurers and having regular contact with clients; premiums ranging from mid-market level up to larger corporate.
There will be a small element of new business work, assisting the Account Directors in compiling submissions, programme design and going to market to negotiate deals. Although this is a desk-based role, there may be the need to attend client visits from time to time with the Account Directors and you will be encouraged to develop solid relationships with your insurer contacts.
This role would suit either an experienced commercial insurance broker / account handler able to deal with larger cases and with a strong all-round knowledge of most classes of commercial insurance OR potentially a slightly more junior commercial broker / handler, keen to work with larger clients and with the capacity to absorb a greater depth of technical insurance understanding.
This role could pay anywhere between £40k - £60k, depending on experience; progress towards ACII would be preferred and ongoing studies will be fully supported. You will be provided a with a full benefits package and be able to work on a hybrid basis.
