This Senior Existing Business Underwriter position is part home-based role and part office with their office being based in London where you will not be micromanaged, and a great deal of autonomy would be provided. In additional you will be provided with additional support from senior management to ensure you can maximise every possible opportunity to being successful in performing this role to its full potential.
Due to the company going through a significant growth and development programme this is an ideal time to be joining the business where you’ll work the broker markets in and around the Midlands.
To apply for this role, you will need to have previous commercial insurance experience and be comfortable working to sales targets set by management.
Within the role you will be required to:-
- Reviewing and underwriting of renewals across all products within thier underwriting appetite including any queries within the SLA’s of the business.
- Undertake Broker Visits and Underwriting Surgeries at Broker offices to increase brand awareness and establish contacts.
- Be an Escalation point for Key Brokers.
- Liaise and establish good working relations with the Technical Underwriting Team and key stakeholders.
- Regular communication with the Business Development Managers and Regional Directors to develop and maintain broker relationships and strategic planning.
- Act as a referral point for underwriters within the wider team.
- Take initiative, within the context of the role, to improve work processes and promote overall corporate goals.
- Home Based with occasional visits to London Office when necessary
