This is a new and exciting opportunity to work for leading Global Insurance company with offices throughout the UK.
Our insurer client is seeking an experienced Senior Underwriter to work from their Leeds city centre operation to join them to be aligned to a portfolio of brokers/customers to proactively develop and profitably grow their commercial book of business within the company.
In this role you will be responsible for mentoring and coaching less experienced colleagues in writing and winning more complex, higher value business, whilst maintaining a multiclass underwriter approach when dealing end to end with brokers/customers.
This role would be dealing with either New Business or Existing Business or both.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Proven leadership in property and liability underwriting, with experience managing complex portfolios.
- Strong account management skills, including building and maintaining broker relationships.
- Solid technical knowledge of property and liability underwriting principles and market trends.
- Ability to analyse portfolio performance and make strategic trading decisions.
- Experience coaching and mentoring underwriters to develop technical capability and drive results.
