Trainee Account Executive - South Leeds / Hybrid
Posted: 10 July 2026
Job description
This is a brand-new role with a growing and award winning independent commercial insurance brokerage in the Leeds area. Working closely with a highly respected Account Director, you will focus on various specialist sectors including construction, scaffolding, roofing etc. You will have the opportunity to take advantage of numerous schemes and introducers, with full technical insurance and sales / client management training.
You will be assisted by the lead generation team, who will be providing you with accurate quality leads, as well as reacting to any incoming enquiries and finding your own leads. This will be a mix of desk-based account executive work and some client facing work, with full support to do client facing meetings; this will include shadowing the Account Director on meetings until you feel you’re ready to attend meetings independently. You will retain your own clients as part of your growing portfolio.
Ideal applicants may have worked within or in connection with the construction, roofing or scaffolding sector and would like to combine this area of expertise with an insurance broking career or perhaps you’re currently working in insurance and feel ready to step up into a full Account Executive position and happy to focus on these areas of business.
Our client is ideally looking for an individual willing to put in the effort to develop a career, someone who enjoys regular client contact, is not afraid of being involved in sales and who is very keen to learn and develop. CII studies will be full supported.
This role comes with a salary of up to circa £40k + bonus on all new business + full benefits including hybrid working. This is a great opportunity to work with a vastly experienced and respected Director, willing to pass on his extensive knowledge and expertise.
