This position is part home-based role and part office with their office being based in London.
Due to the company going through a significant growth and development programme this is an ideal time to be joining the.
To apply for this role, you will need to have previous commercial insurance experience and have previously successfully managed teams of people.
Within the role you will be required to:-
- Manage workloads for the teams, defining and distributing underwriter priorities where needed
- Hands on Underwriting with reduced Broker Panel.
- Take initiative, within the context of the role, to improve work processes and promote overall corporate goals.
- Identify training and development needs to assist with Team progression.
- Handling Team Communications - MI, targets, workloads, the running of team meetings etc.
- Assist with the monitoring of retention and SLA's
- Carry out the quarterly 121's with the team
- Effectively deal with any individual case issues, working alongside the complaints department
- Working alongside the Technical Underwriting Team to assist in complex case issues including cancellations and voidances
- Manage the underwriting of the monthly complex large case renewals - £10,000 and above.
- Ensure Group trading entities deliver customer outcomes in a compliant manner in accordance with the principals of Treating Customers Fairly (TCF)
- Assist with recruitment and interviews when required
